Maple Lawn Farms Case Study

I was contacted by Maple Lawn farm originally to help improve the cellular signal & wifi in their home, which is an all metal building at the top of the photo.  I implemented a new whole-home Wi-Fi network in their metal home and rewired all of the existing phone jack to ethernet wiring. Installing the mesh network in the home drastically improved the Wi-fi signal and allows them to use Wi-Fi calling on their phones instead of installing another piece of equipment just for their phones.

 Secondly, they were using a T-mobile home internet and were getting very spotty service, so I was asked it I could extend the current 1Gbps Fiber connection from the "Shop" barn (the red location pin) to the metal home to increase internet speed and remove a monthly charge from T-mobile. I ran network cabling in the Shop barn from the network closet up to the attic in the coupla and installed a Wireless Bridge to send a wireless bridge radio to shoot the signal over to the house. I also installed a wireless bridge at the peak of the home to receive the signal and connect to its network.

Thirdly, while we were working on this project is came up in conversation that Wi-Fi was poor in the maintenance bays of the Shop. I ran network cabling from the maintenance closet up to the attic and into each of the maintenance bays to connect an Outdoor Wi-Fi Access Point in each one to extend the Wi-Fi connectivity through the whole building.  The network connectivity allows them to pull up online maintenance manuals for their tractors, combines, and all of their heavy machinery.
